Work with me · Couples therapy

When you cannot talk about the thing that matters most.

I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an approach built on decades of research into what actually makes relationships work. Not guesswork.

It is very normal for couples in long-term relationships to argue, and arguing in itself is not an issue.

A partnership involves two people with different emotions, concepts and values, and these need to be negotiated regularly. The trouble starts when the argument becomes about being “the winner”, not about connection and resolution. What you want is for your relationship to win.

That’s where a third person in the room helps: I can make sure everyone is behaving well enough for real communication to happen. We work with accountability, not blame. And I communicate well with both men and women, which often matters most for the partner who didn’t want to come.

What we work on

  • Communication that has stopped working
  • The same argument, over and over
  • Conflict that gets stuck and cannot be repaired
  • Rebuilding trust after it has been broken
  • Intimacy, affection and sex
  • Parenting, money, housework and in‑laws
  • Separation and divorce
  • Re‑partnering and blended families
